Diamond Peak is a smallish area by Lake Tahoe standards, but it still has an 1800' vertical drop and a lot of intermediate to upper intermediate terrain. The lake views are gorgeous. It's family friendly, and not crowded on weekends. Don't expect Squaw Valley-like steeps. But if you want to avoid crowds and cruise for a pleasant day, go to Diamond Peak.
