  Alpine is for lovers.

  Pros: No lift lines, free for military, best ski school.

  Cons: No Half Pipe, no on-site lodging. Lazy ski bums everywhere! (kidding!)

  Nice mountain that does lots OK

  Pros: Lots of runs, good variety, nice layout

  Cons: Icy and wind-swept at times

  It’s funny how a resort a few miles away will get some good snow, and other places will have nothing but ice. My buddy and I were spending late march hopping around... Full review

  Alpine Meadows

  Pros: multilple day lodges, Friendly employees, excellent lift line control, great expert terrain

  Cons: not very large, if you get there late you will park far away.

  Alpine Meadows - Promised Land

  Pros: Found powder on Sherwood after three weeks of no snow

  Cons: none - but it was too hot in January!

  I was pleasantly "snow-prised" with some soft-packed powder hiding under the trees in the Sherwood Forrest (Sherwood Run). Plenty of beginner, intermediate, advanced AND expert terrain. Promised Land is the best place... Full review
