Region Javorníky and Kysuce is located in the northwestern part of Slovakia. Javorníky form a border with the Czech republic, to the south are adjancent to Biele Karpaty, to the north are going through Turzovská vrchovina. The highest mountain of Kysucké Beskydy is Veľká Rača (1236 meters above the sea level). The slopes of the ski resort Park Snow Veľká Rača are situated on this mountain. These two locations offer more oppportunities for skiing. For example Ski Makov, Kasárne – Zóna Snow or Čertov – Lazy pod Makytov. In the area of Javorníky you can find perfect conditions for cross-country skiing. There is a lot to do besides all the winter sports in this region. Hiking, visiting an open-air museum in Výchylovka or you can take a trip to the unique stone balls in Milošová.
