Full review

I was born and raised in Colorado so skiing and snowboarding run through my veins and when the flakes start falling I start getting antsy to hit the slopes. I thought I would have to do without when the Air Force stationed me at Offutt AFB, or at least I figured I would have to save up all my leave for mid to late season and make a single big trip to the Rockies. I was skeptical that a ski area in Iowa would hold much promise, but on New Years Day after a few hours and several runs later I was pleasantly surprised to find somewhere close enough that I can get my fix, without breaking the bank and blowing all my leave time. This is a good little run with excellent facilities for its size. Two lifts take you to more or less opposite sides of the park. The wide, gentle main run allows for beginners to have plenty of opportunity to learn while their more advanced sections allow you to re-hone your existing skills if you do plan on making that journey to your favorite real mountain.
