OK...I'm originally from the West and was a Ski Patroler for over 15 years. Chestnut Mtn is a great place to learn and does have enough pitch to challenge any type of skier. We have been skiing there for over five (5) years and have they have taught all of our kids to ski. We still travel out West for family ski vacations and the kids will keep up with us on any terrain. I also think that the concessions are very reasonable in contrast to others resorts. Having a second home in the Galena Territories makes it very easy for us to come up for a day or two. The annual pre-season pass at $300.00 is a deal!
