Rolling hills drive going to this resort from Chicago suburbs area about 3 hours drive.
Nice view of the Mississippi river kinda a like a Lake Tahoe look alike. See my posted pictures with this review.
Good prices for food, and maybe cheaper that most of the Midwest ski resorts.
The resort is rated # 1 in IL because of its just wider size in a land area, but very short runs.
Good bunny slopes for learning the skis or snowboard, its got t-bar tow and slow chairlifts for beginners.
The long lines for buying your slope tickets and rentals to the ticket boots are outside, so you better make sure you are bundled up. This is the first resort I have seen that you'll freeze just from buying your tickets. Most resorts are indoor.
Restrooms are too small and not upkeep. Lockers are ok.
Very short runs, you'll ski or snowboard down in less than 2 minutes.
Parking lots are small, we got there in the morning of Tuesday (weekday) 10am and we already seen vehicles being parked all over in the sides of the roads.
