pretty views, good conditions
the layout of the runs, slow lifts
My first time at Chestnut Mountain was last weekend, had a great time. The conditions were great, and the runs were well-maintained. But the lifts were super slow. I am surprised that they do not invest in at least one high-speed lift. I was also not impressed with the lodge/bar/cafe. It looked like it was added as an afterthought. The views from inside the lodge were not good, and it was very small and crowded. While the food was good and was obviously homemade, the service was slow. But overall a very nice place, beautiful scenery from the runs, and nice people.
