    Galena, Ill., got a little colder recently but no one seems to mind - at least as long as they can still get out to ski or board. Five inches fell on Chestnut Mountain overnight and more snow is expected. With a solid 48-72" base and snow falling, the area hasn't found the need to make more snow recently. Full Article

  • Chestnut Mountain a Rider's Dream

    Chestnut is one of the top resorts in the Great Lakes region for snowboarders. The Far Side, with its own triple chair, is a seven-acre terrain park. They also have a wonderful rail garden built on top of the ski hill next to the lodge, and terrain features are placed on other slopes and trails to keep it interesting. Full Article
