Full review

Interesting reading the other reviews... Here's my take: I skied 62 days so far this season, and of those 26 have been at Tamarack (13 at Brundage, 16 at Bogus, and the remainder out of state) . Of course, it has been a "banner" snow year in Idaho, but even the past few years when it has not been, the snow at Tamarack was great. The lines at Bogus, and the rutted parking and road is a bummer, and all the more reason to drive to Tamarack. Tamarack has virtually no lift line but an abundance of awesome terrain to ski! It's not perfect, but it IS a great, fun, ski hill! Runs are long and not too boring for advanced skiers, but novices can ski most of them as well - making skiing with friends of differing ability levels possible (and there IS decent vertical to be found!). The lift staff is great, too! Very friendly and cheerful! That's the hill and staff - too bad the rest of the experience is not up to par. The so called lodge is a joke, and the fact that "common" folk/families cannot take coolers or lunch bags inside is ridiculous! The special area for "members only" is a joke as well, and should be eliminated. The barmaid is a floozy rude old thing -sorry I even spent a dime there. Tamarack provides little decent live music or anything to do apres ski. Too bad they didn't build a nice lodge with river rock and a great fireplace/pit (yes, Sun Valley style, if you will) with a place for music, before starting the condos. Making people WANT to b e there and have an enjoyable experience would have done wonders for the "village." Even so, I love to ski Tamarack and actually hope it stays open, fairly unchanged, so the people will flock elsewhere, and the non-existant lift lines will continue!
