Pros: cheap, never crowded, huge variety of tree riding

Cons: slow chairs that always break, wind closures

Many people complain about the broken chairs and bad management, but they need to quit whining. The snow is consistently better at Silver than ANY other area resorts. I have ridden every mountain in the area many times, and none compare with the powder, tree riding, lack of lift lines, friendly atmosphere, and most important: low prices. After four years of riding, I am still finding new terrain all the time. The bar on the mountain has great beer specials and rotating affordable micro-brews that you won't find anywhere else. The gondola ride may be almost 20 minutes, but that gives you time to lace up your boots and drink a beer-to-go from the bar!
