Great value, great terrain, fun for anyone!!!
Its all about great skiing, less about big city nightlife
Despite a gloomy economy, some past service issues, Silver Mountain management is definitely on the upswing. The mountain itself has always delivered great snow and perhaps the best terrain in the region. The mountain has something for everyone from steeps to incredible glades, to some of the best tree skiing on the planet to some well groomed blue cruisers. What has changed, and delighted us regulars is an improved attention to detail on running the mountain from a skier’s perspective. This has been an incredible year at Silver and as we wind down the season, Jeff, Dave, Brett and others deserve a big time pat on the back. Whether you are a local powder hound or a destination skier you will get at great value at Silver. Ski all day on an excellent mountain and stay in awesome accommodation in the Morningstar Lodge and play in a massive water park at night and eat at their upbeat Noah’s pub and restaurant and you will be rewarded with the fondest of memories. While once critical of Silver, they have done well to correct any previous shortcomings. I really doubt there is a better value in North America. Kudos to Silver, as today (4/17/09) they are the ONLY resort in the inland empire that is still open. Other resorts with well over 150 inches of snow tell their customers “it over,” Silver let’s you ski until the daisies come up through the snow. Last year they we open on June 1st… months after the other local resorts packed it in. We appreciate their willingness to go for the gusto and let us passionate faithful ski until we’re riding on dirt. This is a the Silver, a great mountain, and a fun ambiance for families or the younger set. You will not find a better value than right here in Kellogg and the management is poised to continue to make thie the number one place for fun. Tanks Silver for another epic year!!!
