I have skied a few resorts in the northwest and have no idea why every one is always complaining. The town of Kellogg is small and there is not a whole lot to do except ski. You could rent a house in town or stay in the hotel across the parking lot. if you are crazy as I am they had no problem with people staying in RVs in the Parking lot(under old mangement). I have always found the service good and the ski school is better than most. The Lodge is older, but still nice in its own way. If the Gondola does close because of wind, go to Lookout Pass. But if you want to go to a resort with Five star dinning, a spa, shopping and those other things you rich people expect from a ski resort. Get your pasport and Check out Big White in BC. IT will have what you require for a good ski trip. BUT if you want to enjoy a good resort with little wait check silver out
