Good morning Schweitzer Fans! Have you been Huckleberry picking yet this season? The reports coming in from our Summer Campers is that it is a great crop this year - which is great news for everyone joining us for the Huckleberry Festival this Sunday :)
It's another beautiful, sunny day on the mountain and the perfect time to practice proper picking procedures ;) Please keep in mind, we'd like to have our berry bushes for years to come, so berry pickers/combs/rakes of any kind are not allowed on Schweitzer property. Thank you and enjoy the picking!
The Schweitzer Trail Crew has been working hard the last few weeks on a couple of projects. The first is a reroute of Pinch Flat to bypass the Great Divide. The second is a long stretch of wooden boardwalks spanning several very rocky sections near the top of the trail. Although we could use some rain, the new sections are really fun! This weekend should be great weather for riding. See you soon :)
Good morning Schweitzer Fans :) If you need some motivation today, just think...a woman is attempting to swim the entire length of Lake Pend Oreille nonstop! Read more about her story and follow her progress throughout the day on Sandpoint Online. Good luck Elaine!
