Full review

This resort touts itself as being closer to people than Pomerelle. Geographically, that is true (for those of us in Twin Falls). However, the road up to Magic Mountain is treacherous and still takes about an hour (or more) to get there. Pomerelle is an hour and a half away. The hill is much smaller than Pomerelle. The lodge is a shack. There is no night skiing at Magic Mountain. Magic Mountain's rates are almost as much as Pomerelle. Pomerelle has must as much beginner slopes as Magic. I really see no reason, other than having kids you want to stick to the sledding hill while you ski, that a person would go to Magic Mountain instead of Pomerelle. If the rates were $10 cheaper, Magic Mountain may be a viable option. (By the way, I put "empty nesters" on the "recommended for" line because it would not let me submit without giving a recommendation and there was not a "none" selection.)
