Hlidarfjall Overview

Hlidarfjall

Northern Iceland's premier ski destination can be difficult to drive to, so an internal flight from Reykjavik is recommended. Lifts open at 1300 on weekdays, but remain open until 1900; at weekends lifts are open from 1000 to 1700. The local ski lodge has sleeping bag accommodation, but more comfortable lodging is available in Akureri , 7km ($ miles) away.
