Northstar California River Ranch Lodge and Restaurant

The perfect mountain location year-round the River Ranch is a landmark restaurant and lodge located on the Truckee River on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe in between Squaw Valley and Tahoe City. There is a restaurant and bar on premise with a spacious riverside patio. Complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning. Nestled on the banks of the Truckee River this handsome 'old Tahoe' lodge is small and intimate with only 19 rooms and most rooms have balconies and river views. Each room has a private bath down comforter or quilt cable television and modem ready telephone. A few rooms are decorated with traditional antiques and the remaining rooms are decorated with mountain-lodge style and lodge pole pine beds. Dogs are allowed in some rooms during the warmer months by prior arrangement. The restaurant features California style cuisine and specializes in steaks fresh seafood and wild game. In the winter the River Ranch is close to the slopes of nearby Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows as well as many other ski resorts. Shuttle service is available to and from the lodge and cocktails can be enjoyed in their apres ski lounge. In the warmer months the River Ranch patio over the river becomes a lively hub with barbeque lunch available daily. Summer activities include rafting on the river biking hiking boating golfing and sightseeing. This is a pet friendly hotel. Pets are allowed seasonally only not allowed during ski season.
