Airports
You can fly into one of several different airports and get to Morzine from there. Geneva Airport (90 km) is the closest and has many transfer options. Chambery (132 km), Lyon (208 km), and Grenoble (212 km), offer alternate fly-in destinations. Most of the major airlines, including easyJet, British Airways, and KLM fly into Geneva and Lyon. Seasonal flights operate in Grenoble and Chambery in the winter, often at lower prices, but then transfer costs can be more expensive, so take the time to compare complete travel costs before booking.
Airport transfers
From Geneva, Altibus operates regular coach transfers and tickets are sold directly at the airport at the Tourism Information and Coach Station counter. Be careful with the return, though as you must confirm your reservation 48 hours before departure at the bus station in Morzine.
It is also possible to find reasonable shuttle transfers. Airport Transfer Service offers some interesting private or shared shuttles to Morzine. For shared transportation, prices are around €25 per person. For private transport, the more passengers aboard the lower the price. For four passengers, price is around €38 per person.
From Chambery and Grenoble, there are no regular transfers to Morzine, but you can arrange one through the airports' websites: Chambery; Grenoble
Getting around
A free network of seven shuttle lines runs through and around the resort and can take visitors all the way out to L'Erigné. Frequency depends on the line, but the A line runs every 10 minutes and is the most frequent bus.
The latest bus, again on the A line, has its last departure at 7:45 p.m, but most buses stop running anywhere from 5:45 to 7:30 p.m, so don't miss them, or you'll be hauling your gear back on foot.
A little tourist train also runs between the Super Morzine and Pléney cable cars, but there aren't any during lunch time, so keep that in mind. The distance is walkable, but the train does offer a picturesque ride.
If you need to get to the outer lying villages of the vallée d'Aulps, a one-way ticket will cost you a single euro.
