Terrain and conditions not as good as the Tahoe resorts
I grew up skiing at Dodge and its nice to be able to come back to a place where you're greeted with smiles and "hello's" pretty much everywhere you go. Its true that the terrain is not as challenging as some of Tahoe resorts, but you also dont have to deal with the Tahoe crowds. Due to the location being a little further south they dont always get the same amount of snow as Tahoe either, but the times I've been recently the conditions have been great. For families its a great place for a day or even a weekend trip and their ski school instructors are great with kids. Its close proximity to the central valley and the Bay Area make it very convenient too.
