top notch trail, nice lodge

Full review

I had pretty low expectation for Grand Geneva based on some of the other reviews, but I went anyway just to try something different. Surprisingly, though it is small, it does have some terrain which is actually fun for an advanced skier. The trail "Top Notch" was steep and ungroomed, as was "œTimber". This was a really nice change from the overgroomed, allegedly, "œblack" runs most places have. Sure, it wasn't very long, but there was also no line for the lift, so I never had to wait to get back up the hill. On the down-side, Grand Geneva did not have much in the way of long, blue, cruising runs for intermediates. As a place to learn, though, it seemed fine. I could definitely see taking my kids there.
