WP/MJ is a below average experience. The layout from parking/ condo to the lifts to the top is poor. It requires lots of walking in a town that is really small. In the mountain you have to go skiers-left to eventually get skiers right. Many of the lower lifts get you no where expect back to the same lift which forces everyone to line-up on Zephr. The begineer runs are mainly from high lonisome and are inconsistently pitched and general laid-out across the fall line, resulting in a long slow, crowded pole at the bottom washout. Alternatively you can ski is the Olympic lift, which is overcrowded but generally better runs. While the snow is terrible everywhere, WP/MJ is not different. Most of the black runs are skiing on tops of small trees. We struggled to find an apres ski site that is happenning even during the holiday week. The belgium place has great beer but appeared to be scared of any music, as we found generally with the entire town, except ullers. Probably better runs in the back area, but they are closed and from the looks of their condition might be closed until another 30in show up.
