Jay Peak, the last unconquerd mountain in Vermont. If you are willing to drive the long haul pass some great mountians the Snow Gods will reward you with this Gem of a mountain. Jay Peak is not for the weak hearted. Its cold with some narly wind. Plus the chair lifts make it die hards only mountain. And for a long time thats how jay wanted to be. But with the new owner in place it seems like they are tryinng to class the place up. New Hotel and lodges. But i still would rather the one bar in town and a cheeseburge to settle my hunger everynight than the expensive french food the rest of vermont ski mountains had converted to. Theyve been talking about an expansion that would expand the area with new glades and runs but the talks have been going on for years now. I say stop the lodge and add in some high speed chairs to make the locals and die hards that have skiied Jay for years without complaint of five star dinning. Ohh and the tram isnt bad only brings you to some great terrain and glades that will make you see angels. Most snow in Vermont Ill take it
