Tamarack is a fabulous mountain. My family is very happy it is open again ... especially my teenage boys. The runs have great fall lines and are groomed well. Lots of varied terrain and rollers. Good challenging steep groomed runs and lots of intermediate cruisers. There is also a great beginners chair, “Discovery”, and “Waltz” is a smooth, long beginners avenue. "Showtime" is a favorite for the younger set who like to catch air on twintips. The powder is every bit as good as Alta, and the tree skiing is second to none. The cornices on top are great to launch from and there are plenty of glades within a short glide or hike. The food is good and reasonably priced. The lodge is comfortable and picturesque. The ski school has top notch instructors and the patrollers are as good as they come. Tamarack is truly a world class mountain with a local feel and price. My family can't wait to go back. Five Stars *****!
