Steep Food Prices, Locker System Needs Updating

Full review

Opening weekend 12/05/2010 - left Baltimore around 5:30am. It was snowing on the PA turnpike so i got to Seven Springs in about 3 hours. Without the weather the trip would be about 2 and a half. The main parking lot was already getting to max - but no worries, this place has several lots with shuttles. Very nice and helpful lot attendants. Getting lift tickets was also super easy and again, really helpful employees. I made my way to the locker room - the lockers and locker room definitely needs a major facelift. its kinda run down and poorly lit and the bathrooms were on a separate floor - the boot lockers were way too small and the long lockers are too skinny. it would be great if they had lockers you can pay for the day, instead of a dollar token every time you need in. The board check in for $2 was cool and convenient- nice guy working the check in. Super fast chairlifts so the lines stayed at a moving steady pace - barely any delays. Again, really nice employees working the lifts. Snow conditions were awesome - a little icy in some spots so you had to watch out, but thats something you consider on east coast resorts. Im a boarder and I have to say i hardly saw any boarders sitting in everyone's way. the occasional spill and chill,, but no groups just being in the way :) The terrain park wasnt open so I can't rate the park. The food court was good - a little pricey - like all mountain resorts and again in dire need of a modern design. The head lady chef was def on her game, but the other girl serving the hot food was about as slow as an old grandma. She didnt pay attention to how long the line was getting, that maybe she should start working a little faster. This annoyed everyone in line. For families - lots to do beyond good skiing and snowboarding. There's a bowling alley, a pretty good arcade, several shops, restaurants. Another nice touch are the outdoor fires they have all around the outdoor court. Great time in general - Ill rate this resort 9 out of 10. Ill def come back to Seven Springs this season.
