Terrain Variety, Town of Breck, Peak 7, Peak 10
Lift Lines, Mountain Traffic, Rude People, Crowds
I'm still waiting for the day when I can go to Breck, park close-in, jump right on the lift, fly down the mountain without having to dodge the pizza delivery, and not have to put up with lip from the punks with their pants down around their ankles...Breck has phenomenal terrain--no doubt, and Apres in Breck is second to none, but the experience on the mountain leaves too much to be desired. Average lift wait, at Peak 7 even during the week is 15 minutes minimum. All the while you have to deal with the punks who have absolutely no courtesy whatsoever--I've been known to stir a pot or two back in the day, but the attitude I have to deal with here is ridiculous. If you can tolerate the extra 50 minutes in the car, or put up the bucks to go to Eagle County, Beaver Creek offers the terrain variety without the schoolyard punks. I still love Breck...maybe I'm getting too damned old...
