Local, Good to place to learn
Terrible (rude) staff, safety, customer service, equipment, food, parking lot, icy, expensive weekend rate, not
After getting our snowboard lessons my son and I were accompanying my wife on the 3 person chair lift on the beginner slope. Since we had done a three stooges crash at the top of the chair life on a prior run we wanted to go 2 and 1 on the chair lift. We were forced to go on as 3 or not all. We proceeded. Upon attempting to get on the chair lift my son fell off the lift and as expected we all crashed at the top…and to make things worse the chair lift hit me right in the head on its return trip. These types of things can be expected as novices however -
When my son fell off at the bottom and I asked if we could go up separate as I was feeling nervous, the patrol person responded that I can "either go talk to management or go home", which I did
When I was hit the head with the chair lift, I guess the ski patrol found that amusing and thought first action was to mock and then assist.
Maybe we had a bad day, but what's alarming is the number of similar safety stories I've since heard from local familiies.
