Snowmass was a great village, plenty of eating options, nightlife (without going into Aspen) and great ground transportation around the village. The terrain at Snowmass was fantastic plenty for the whole family to do. Some of the beginner area runs where pretty beat up and hard packed, but that is to be expected in high traffic areas. Very impressed with this resort. The on-mountain food was very good and plenty of options. I would recommend anyone who likes seafood to try Bruces Lobster Shack it is located in one of the hotel/condo complexes located near lot #13 ( not real sure of the name, just reference the lobster shack and someone will correct u on the name.) As usual the weather in the Roaring Forks Valley was incredible for the time we were there which was 1-16-07 thru 1-21-07 blue sky days and warm temps. Of course if any of you were watching the weather for that week you already now that the area got hit again with measurable snowfalls after we left on Sunday morning. If traveling by car back to Denver always allow plenty of time for the uncontrollable situations, like car accidents on I-70!!
If there with kids who don't ski or just with some time to kill not to miss the Aspen Recreation Center this indoor facility has a huge water park for the whole family, steam room, suana, giant hot tub, lap pool with diving board and an ice rink.
