2016/2017 Nordica Patron ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s Powder Category.

“In skis, ‘good vibrations’ aren’t that good—this smooth ski has no vibration and no real chatter from the wide tip,” observes Hill. Nordica says the Patron has a stable tip thanks to the broad Hammerhead Nose design, which also helps to increase snow contact with the edges. The sandwich construction includes a full wood core with two sheets of carbon extended over the edges. The Powder camRock profile adds a substantial amount of tip and tail rocker to the 113-mm-waisted ski with camber underfoot. Testers gave top totals for float, which outshined the Patron in the carving criteria. “This ski floats well, plows through spring crud and will help you smoke people on the groomers,” says March.
