2016/2017 Atomic Vantage 100 CTI ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s All-Mountain Back Category and awarded it an Editors’ Choice honor.

“Rip the steeps with confidence and charge right onto the groomers,” says Witman about the Atomic Vantage 100 CTI. “The ski carves like narrower model, but the waist width and tip shape nail flotation.” The 100-mm-waisted all-mountain model is designed to blend powder performance with hardpack performance thanks to several technology stories from Atomic. The vertebra-shaped Ti Backbone 2.0 adds titanium to the wood core along with a layer of high strength-to-weight ratio woven carbon (called Carbon Tank Mesh). Full-length “Firewall” sidewalls plus tip and tail rocker round out the construction details. High marks were awarded for float, and testers gave slightly lower scores for carving and stability. “It can be overskied, especially in crud, but it’s effortless to ski in most terrain,” says Gaudet.
