2016/2017 Armada Invictus 99 Ti ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s All-Mountain Back Category and awarded it an Editors’ Choice honor.

Armada’s new direction led to a series of “all-mountain directional skis,” including the new Invictus 99 Ti. “Steeps, crud, packed pow—this ski can handle it all,” says March. Designed to be wide enough for big terrain with the performance for hardpack, the 99-mm-waisted model shares a similar sandwich sidewall construction with the wider Invictus 108 Ti, including a Power-lite Core that’s reinforced with hardwood stringers, plus two sheets of titanium and carbon-Kevlar struts in the rockered tip and tail. Testers gave the ski high marks for flotation, which outshined its performance in stability and playfulness. “The ski felt a little unsteady at high speed, but otherwise it’s a fun, versatile ski that makes it easy to recover from mistakes.”
