Helly Hansen Elevate Shell Pant review. OnTheSnow reviewed this pant as part of its men's 2015/2016 Pants Buyers' Guide.

Favorite Features: The Elevate Shell Pant provides jacket-to-pant integration belt loops and a comfortable fit to keep the pow in its place. The Velcro waist adjustment picked up any extra slack without adding unnecessary moving parts. (Ahem, I’m talking to you, belts.) Other standout features included the side-vent zippers and freeride cut.

Room for Improvement: Although the reinforced bottom hem is a burly addition, it would be nice to see a pull-up cuff system for those days spent on groomers. The single, small button used to fasten the waist is not exactly confidence inspiring.

Fit: The Elevate Shell Pant fit true to size (U.S. L) on someone who normally wears a large pant. The skiing-specific cut adds plenty of maneuverability when crouching down or raising your knees.

On-Snow Review: The Elevate Shell Pant fit seamlessly with boots on, giving just enough length to cover all the buckles without bunching. The velcro waist adjustments worked well when the day called for tightening up after losing a layer. Great maneuverability and surprisingly warm. Bravo.
