"This ski is really fun everywhere," said Koehn. "It's light, soft, stable and most of all, playful." Rossignol's S7W aims for maximum flotation and versatility, supported by the spoon-shaped tip and Rossignol's Powder Turn Rocker, which includes lower camber underfoot and high rocker in the tip and tail. A wood core and vertical sidewalls add stability for high octane turns. The S7W received lower scores for carving, though according to Alder, "it's beautiful in crud and powder. It doesn't carve like a race ski, but instead has a new-school personality—preferring pivots, stivots and buttering turns."
