Head's powder-oriented Sacrifice won accolades from testers for its versatility. "With a 16 mm turning radius and 105 mm waist, this ski can charge," said Sutton. "It's forgiving yet very active so it fits the bill as an All-Mountain Powder ski." The Sacrifice has tip rocker, sandwich cap construction with a vertically laminated wood core and a sidewall-wrapping cap over the top edges. Head's Independent Suspension System adds vibration-absorbing elastomers throughout the ski. "It's solid at speed without the ‘dead fish flop' that can happen with big tip rocker," said Ertl. "For a ski in this category, it's very capable, agile and comfortable on groomed terrain."
