A new freeride model in a series of four, the uniquely-shaped Cham 97 features Dynastar's Levitation Profile, essentially a five-point sidecut, with progressive tapering in the tip and tail, traditional camber underfoot, a long rockered tip and a narrow tail. Construction includes vertical sidewalls and a lightweight wood core with titanal. Testers praise its versatility in all snow and terrain. Beidleman called it "alive and fun: this is one steady Eddie." "It looks fun and skis to match," said Mahon. "It's quite stable and reliable. Carving may not be its strongpoint, but it holds an edge, skids a turn and is a top dog in powder."
