2015 Scott Black Majic ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s Frontside Category.
Testers gave the new Black Majic highest marks for playfulness and stability. “It’s light and easy—good for a wide range of skier abilities,” says Minneci. The Black Majic was inspired by Scott’s all-mountain-oriented The Ski, which features Scott’s 3Dimension sidecut along with a tip and tail radius thanks to the sidecut design. Construction includes a sandwich sidewall with two Titanal sheets on the top and bottom. The waist of Black Majic ranges between 75 and 80 mm, according to the length. “A little soft for an aggressive skier” says Van Riper. “It’s best for those who like to keep in the soft groomers and dial down the speed.”
