Dynafit has unleashed the Beast 16, a freeride touring binding that performs like a full alpine binding and is significantly lighter than any other DIN 16 AT binding available today. This creature is the world’s first DIN 16 binding with torsional rigidity equal to any full alpine binding for aggressive downhill performance. The Beast 16 has an ultra-low height and featherweight of 935 grams plus a frameless design, which means no frame is attached to the boot in tour mode. Independent heel and toe pieces enable the ski to flex through its entire length. Dynafit will only make 2,500 Beast bindings for 2014 with only 850 available in the U.S. This binding has serious teeth that will help skiers rip the mountains like never before.
