Dynastar debuts the new Cham Women’s line for 2013/2014, including three new models (Cham W 107, 97 and 87), all featuring lightweight cores, rocker and a progressive five-point sidecut. The sidecut (the Cham W 107 is 130-137-107-122-98) means that though the rockered tip is wide, the widest part of the ski is in the forebody—designed for maneuverability and hook-free turn initiation—with a narrow, flat pintail. Testers awarded it highest scores for powder performance. "This ski feels fast and floaty with no speed wobbles," Minneci said. "In two words: It Rips." It may have a unique shape, but Dynastar uses traditional construction techniques such as full-length vertical sidewalls, a paulownia wood core and camber underfoot. "I felt like I could rip up a big open pow field and straight-line it," Rodman said. "It's more stiff than playful, but bombs through crud and floats in soft snow."
