Fans of last season’s SideStash will recognize a similarity in the new Annex 108. Tech details include tip rocker in the 139-millimeter powder tip, a kicktail, a core made from a blend of aspen, paulownia and maple plus alternating layers of Titanal and fiberglass. Hybritech sidewalls blend turn-oriented sidewalls and lightweight cap construction. Testers gave the Annex 108 high marks for playfulness and powder performance, while giving it lowest scores for carving. “This ski floats beyond its 108-millimeter waist,” Gaudet said. “Though it can turn, it fell a bit short on the frontside, but this ski is a stud in the powder,” Flickinger said.
