A new wider ski in the Big Stix series, the 122 is designed for advanced through expert skiers and ungroomed snow. Fischer updated the rocker profile and front end shape of the three skis (in 122, 110 and 100 waist widths) with long rockered tips and tails and near symmetrical sidecuts. Testers gave the Big Stix 122 high scores for float, but low marks in other categories. “Fun ski if it’s untracked,” Stoeger said. “The soft tip floats to the top in soft snow but this ski is for powder only,” Dittmar added. Tech details include a sandwich sidewall construction, a wood core, lightweight air carbon and a double Titanal shell.
