“This ski has energy,” Brown Brent remarked. “It’s easy on and off its edges and super fun to ski.” Testers gave high scores to the Temptation 88 for carving and stability and agreed that it’s best at short turns. Though it has a generous 88-millimeter waist, a unique construction blends maneuverability with responsiveness. Tip and tail rocker combine with one of the widest tips in the group, designed for quick turn initiation. The Cascade tip has staggered lengths of material for less swing weight and a combination of wood and basalt create a lightweight core. Rossignol’s Extended Sidecut engages the sidecut beyond the ski’s contact point for full-length edge grip. “Like moguls?” Dumais asked. “The wide tip and short turn talent makes this ski great in bumps.”
