“This is a strict Frontside carver,” Flickinger said of the Pursuit HP. "It holds an edge well and is exceptional at short turns." Other testers agreed, giving it high marks in the carving category. The Pursuit HP has subtle tip rocker along with an oversized tip and tail (125-81-111) designed for edge hold and stability. World Cup-inspired construction of traditional sidewalls, wood core and a layer of titanium are designed to add stability and power through the turn. Though built stiff, H Technology adds a softening slit in the metal at the tip and tail. "This ski is a short- to medium-turn making machine, but keep it on the shorter end of the spectrum since it's most stable at medium speed," Attridge said.
