The soft-flexing ARVw gets an update for 2013/2014 including a slightly new shape, tip rocker and Armada’s Hybrid UltraLight Core, made of lightweight wood plus fiberglass layered in a lattice pattern. The All-Mountain twin tip has a 97-millimeter waist (available only in the 168 centimeter ski), a progressive flex and full sidewall construction. The ski scored its highest marks for flotation, lowest marks for carving and testers said the ski favors soft snow at slower speeds. “It’s light and maneuverable in mixed conditions and it has a generous sweet spot,” Minneci said. “For the medium to aggressive skier, it’s a playful go-anywhere ski.”
