Nordica Navigator 90 ski review, 2017/2018 men's All-Mountain Front Category, from our equipment experts at Realskiers.com powered by Masterfit.

Nordica’s Navigator series of skis aims directly at the All-Mountain Front target, with special emphasis on the frontside aspect. Its one concession to off-trail travel is a front rocker and tip configuration similar to the Enforcer 93. From the first contact point back, Nordica’s top-of-series Navigator 90 is all about efficient, effective edging. The extra torsional rigidity imparted by a topsheet of perforated Titanium gives the ski the authority to dive bomb the fall line. Its rearbody is built like a race ski’s, running a continuous edge (i.e. no taper) to its square tail. Because it puts more edge in the snow than a lot of AMF models, the Navigator 90 skis a little longer than it measures—a trait that comes in handy at high speed. “Very fun either cruising or pushing them," wrote Ward Pyles of Peter Glenn, “but really comes to life on edge with speed.” If the $599 the Navigator 90 is likely to sell for is too rich for your budget, Nordica’s Navigator 85 is a nearly identical ski in a slightly softer flex for $100 less.
