Atomic Vantage 90 CTi ski review, 2017/2018 men's All-Mountain Front Category, from our equipment experts at Realskiers.com powered by Masterfit.

The defining virtue of an All-Mountain Front ski is excellence in the middle ground that blends off-trail and on-trail attributes. Atomic’s Vantage 90 CTi embodies this all-things-to-all-people attitude, ready to embark on any adventure so long as it includes snow. Of course it can’t float as high as much wider skis, but its middle-of-the-road shape can pump out mid-radius turns in 2 feet of fresh as well as any of the other skis in its class. To help keep its weight under control, the Vantage 90 CTi uses only a single Titanal laminate (half the normal dose) cut down to a skeletal spine. The feature most responsible for its jack-of-all-trades personality is Carbon Tank Mesh, a featherweight grid that makes the ski stronger and livelier. For 2018, Atomic beefs up the Vantage 90 CTi's core with maple in lieu of poplar and protects the cosmetics with a rugged, nano TPU finish. Trey Claus of The City Garage noticed the improvement: “The slightly stiffer flex upgrade made this a much smoother and stable ski through crud, and it held better on ice.”
