Schwefelberg is located half an hour from the city of Fribourg and an hour from Swiss capital Bern. The ski lifts here have been running for more than 50 years.
The resort's ski area below the Gurnigelpasses is usually bathed in sunshine even when the Passhöhe below lies in fog. The main lift ascends 1.2km from 1300m on 1750m and opens up six groomed pistes. There's a child lift, which is especially suitable also for the friendly area's youngest guests, which is 300m long.
