    A six day lift ticket for the world's largest fully lift-linked ski area, the 3 Valleys shared by Merivel, Les Menuires, Val Thorens, Courchevel and several other resorts, will cost €220 next winter, an increase of five Euros, or a little over two percent, on last season. Full Article

    Alpe d'Huez ski area in France is the latest major resort to offer hands free lift tickets. The resort's 2007-8 season kicks off on December 1st when skiers and boarders buying tickets valid for two days or more will be able to buy a hands free ticket for a two Euro supplement. Full Article

  • Les Gets rewarding skiers arriving in full cars

    The French resort of les Gets, which has been a strong campaigner on the environment, has launched a new scheme to try to do more to help the environment. The "mobilité douce" scheme will reward drivers arriving with at least four people in the car by offering everyone in the vehicle 25% off their lift ticket. Full Article

  • Serre Chevalier plans further 50 million euro spend

    Serre Chevalier in the Southern French Alps has announced plans to spend 50 million Euros on upgrades up to 2011, following initial investment since its acquisition by the Compagnie des Alpes (CDA). CDA reportedly views the area as a destination of significant importance, and following the substantial investment in the region's ski infrastructure, considerable growth is predicted to follow. Serre Chevalier already attracts 1.3m skier visits and claims to be the fourth largest ski area in France. Full Article
