Float Over the Powder at Fiss (150 Feet Over)

The "Flieger" resembles a large hang-glider, can carry four passengers at a time and "floats" at heights of between 30 and 150 feet above the ski slopes, at speeds of up to 50mph. The "floating" is, however, controlled, since the "plane" is attached to overhead rollers which glide over a sturdy steel rope and cannot become detached.

Passengers are suspended in a hang-glider harness which gives the sensation of flying, but is absolutely secure. The adventure starts at the Möseralm mountain station in Fiss, where all the flight preparations are made. The "Flieger" is winched up backwards at 25mph. It takes a few minutes and a huge adrenalin rush to get back to the valley.
