it was okay. but i do not like how everything is a teese. like i mean, if you guys are open and running then you guys should at least have jumps set up. although when the competition was going on all the stuff set up was sick. but now i hate to say it but it just sucks. and its a teese, please take this complaint as something you should change and now you should try to do what your customers want. all im asking is just to have things set up. thanks.

Great place for families, and beginners. Fun and safe place for my kids to ski and hang out with friends. The new management seems to be really working at improving the quality of skiing, the overall atmosphere, customer service and food.

This season with new management will be a great season. They have alreadey made more snow than the prevoious managment did in years. The whole package is BETTER. If you have not skied at Olympia for a while give it a try and you will be happy to fing a well groomed hill with plenty of snow. I skied ther over the weekend and the snow was GREAT.
Give it a shoot, and see for yourself. This year for the first time you can ski "the backbowls" if you wish. I guess they are still working on the terain park. It looks like this will be the best year ever at MT OLYMPUS.
I have snowboarded at Olympia since i was six. There isn't a whole lot to ski but what they have is usually nice. They have changed owners and raced prices:-( but are improving hill.

The resort itself is very upscale and is highly commendable for the growing city of Oconomowoc. The resort is perfect for business trips, or the middle-age/senior traveler. I am a freestyle skier who lives in Oconomowoc and I generally practice at the ski resort every Saturday that they're open. First off, yes, the hill is a landfill, BUT THE LITTLE AMOUNTS OF GARBAGE IN THE SOIL DECOMPOSES OVER TIME!!!! It makes no difference what the hill is made of. Little Switzerland in Slinger, WI is smaller than Olympia. The hill has a seperate little area with its own tow rope for the bunny hill. There is a run that wraps around the backside of the whole hill that is ideal for beginners and/or recreational skiers. There are 2 chair lifts that lead to one location, since the hill is smaller, getting down and up again goes extremely quick and this keeps the lift line to a minimum, unlike most hills. There are alot of local teens that like to hang out and snowboard here and elementary kids alike. For the expert freestyle skier/snowboarder, the hill has a large variety of boxes, rails, wall rides, and jumps. There are even some cliff jumps at the top of the hill that no other ski hill in Southern Wisconsin has. The formation/ kinds/ number of jumps, rails, and boxes is changed every week by the teenage ski instructors (who are the nicest kids when teaching young ones, I learned how to ski here and my parents had no complaints). Every year there is a fun event called Chillfest, which is partly held at Olympia and features Big Air and a seperate Slope Style competition, which kids of all ages can enter and compete in seperate age groups. Also at Chillfest is a live band performance and a pig roast, and fireworks lit from the top of the hill, a great event for the whole family.
The lodge may seem lack luster inside, but is very comfortable and fun anyway. There are 3 floors; bottom floor has ski/board rentals and lift tickets. The 2nd floor has lockers, benches, a seperate area for food, a wide variety of arcade games, and a medium sized first aid center. The 3rd floor has a large bar, big screen tv's, a lounge area, and one whole side of the room has windows that overlook the ski hill and bunny hill, it even has an outside balcony which overlooks most of the terrain park, and the ski hill. There is a large staff that truly tries their best to accomadate the skiers and boarders. There is a large ski patrol that proficiently keeps skiers safe and in order, without being a nucense.
I'll conclude on this IMPORTANT NOTE: Olympia is under new management and is just beginning to improve upon its past mistakes. TO THOSE WHO BASH OLYMPIA FOR ITS SIZE AND QUALITY, YOU ARE BEING UNREALISTIC AND HARSH. OLYMPIA IS GROWING AND IMPROVING.
well basically every one who rips on this little hill dosn't realize how hard the ppl that work there try their best to make it enjoyable, everyone has there own opinion and yes its not the biggest and best hill around but its a place where ppl can get togeather and snowboard and have a good time close to home..

This is a garbage hill and that is not a joke, the hill is just a land fill turned into a ski hill. Great for beginners but if you are looking to do some serious skiing I would defiantly recommend going out west. Or further up north to go skiing/ snowboarding.
