This resort is located near the Wisconsin Dells so it's accessable for many metro areas. It's proximity to 'Wisconsin's Playground' provide an array of eaterys for Apres' Ski, and lodging galore. I'll grant you that they may not have the Black Diamond runs . . . but something else is conspicuously absent as well. . . School Buses in the parking lot. Exactly ! They're aren't scores of snowboarders either bearing down on you, or getting in your way. That alone makes this quaint run a truly enjoyable experience. If you enjoy skiing for the natural beauty, serenity, and not feeling like cattle in the skishop, you owe it to yourself to check out Christmas Mtn. I guarentee you'll return!

The hills are fun and good for beginners but if you've been skiing for awhile they arent challenging enough.

There aren't many runs and not real steep. Would be a good place for beginners. The only snow on the ground in the area when we were there in Jan 2006 was on the ski runs as it was unseasonably warm (50+ degrees a couple of days!).
We're from northern MN, and our 4 boys (ages 8-15) were bored in less than an hour because there was no terrain park due to the lack of snow, and because the slope was not very difficult or even as long as they have around home (which is fairly low to begin with-- Spirit Mountain). It would be nice to have a place to go in and warm up as well besides the bar...
