Christie Mountain is a great place to learn to snowboard. They have some good beginner areas and the hills are not too intimidating. The terrain park looked like a good area to advance to. We had a group that rented their cabin for the weekend and had a blast.

Christie Mountain is a little, but extremely fun ski hill. There are hardly ever any lift lines and when there are it is because people won't pair up. It is also very innexpensive. They have a 2-person chair lift, a t-bar that hardly anyone goes on, and three rope tows, one of which is in between two terain parks giving easy acess to them. They have a good variey of runs and terrain park features. They have 4 terain parks. Rusty's Revenge is the most advanced one which usually has a few big (30-40 feet maby) jumps. Then they have 2 intermediate terain parks and 1 beginner terain park. They also have two double black diamond runs that are pretty nice cliffs. All of the runs always seem to be in great condition and there always seems to be some nice powder to spray as you turn or to spray in your fiends face when you stop. They do a great jog keeping the runs groomed and the ice burried. Christie is my favorite place to go by far. I have read reviews about it on other sites that the ski patrols are all mean but that is bull. All of the ski patrols seem friendly. They also do a great job patroling the hill. The thing I really like about it is that there are never any super stong winds that blow the powder of the hill and into your face. My favorite run is Beastly. Try it if you dare.
