I love Mission Ridge. The longest time to wait in line was probably about 30 seconds to 1 minute. We went on Easter. The staff is very friendly. My son is not able to ski yet, so we put him in Daycare. Mrs. Paula does a great job with the kids. We had the whole mountain to ourselves. We are new to the whole skiing/snowboarding thing so I can't really comment on the terrain too much. This was our 5th time out to Mission Ridge and it won't be the last. The only drawback is that we live about 4 hours away. If Mission was closer we would be here every weekend. Mission does not have a lot of beginners runs. Mimi really is the only one, and what is bad is that most of the Blue runs merge with Mimi. It did not matter this day. There was really no one there. My wife and daughter basically had Mimi to themselves. We can't wait to go back.

We spent the long New Years weekend in Wenatchee in 2006/2007. I hadn't skied Mission in nearly 30 years. I had fond memories of my last trip there even though I hurt my knee and got arrested (long story).
The best thing that happened to Mission is that Harbor Properties sold it to someone willing to invest some money. The addition of the high speed quad two years ago, along with expanded snow making, has made an area with great terrain even better. Now if the Forest Service would relent and allow slope side lodging. Wentachee is a better town than it used to be, but if one could avoid the 20-minute drive in the morning . . .
It's both a blessing and a shame that the locals don't seem to be interested in the area. Mission is never crowded, even on holidays. However, if you got just a few thousand people more skiing (not snowboarding) in the greater Wenatchee area, Mission could probably afford to be open seven days a week and make a bit of money. It probably still struggles to break even.
The only things I would like to see are a magic carpet to replace the beginner rope toe (new gloves anyone?), and the slow numbers 3 and 4 double chairs replaced with detachable quads that reached a bit further up the hill.
Mission has the best snow and cruising runs in the state, some fun chutes in the Bomber Bowl area, and a view from the top nearly as stunning as those at Crystal and Baker. Go in the Spring and you're almost guaranteed to have sun.

Like what was said before "I hesitate to tell anyone about Mission." I have been to a few of the great resorts around the country and this one is right up there in my top 10. And #1 for me in Washington. While it might not get as much snow as some places. The snow is a lot better, nice dry powder. The runs are fun as well, and the back county areas are where the best skiing at the ridge is, steep and deep. Go on a weekend and the lines can be a 5-10 min wait at most. During the week you basically have the mountain to yourself. I have had multiple days this season were I was setting down 1st tracks all day long and I even got there an hour after it opened

Have skied the early snow and despite the limited number of runs open the snow and skiing are excellent. Should only get better as the snows come.

I hesitate to tell more people about Mission Ridge, for selfish reasons: One of the joys is the lack of crowds. On the other hand, I want them to be successful.
The biggest drawback to the Ridge, the lack of a high-speed lift and the interminable ride to the top, has been eliminated with the addition of the Liberator a couple of years ago. Add that to the better powder on the (relatively) dry east side of the Cascades, the easy parking, the low-key atmosphere, and you have a winner.
This is a great family resort. Loads of intermediate runs, plenty of room to ski and ride. You can get great package deals at the hotels in Wenatchee (the Coast is the nicest, and still not expensive).

Went to Mission Ridge for the first time ever last Saturday. NICE area! Hadn't had any fresh for a while, but snow was still in great shape (although some hard sections here and there). Overall I'd say it's an excellent place, especially if you like well groomed cruising. Would LOVE to check it out on a powder day to test some of the more advanced runs. Don't know I'd recommend visiting often due to a perceived lack of variety, however it definitely warrants an annual visit (or two!).
Mission Ridge is a great place to ski and ride. The recent addition of a high speed quad chair lift has been such an asset and so much nicer than before. Its only 12 miles from the city of wenatchee and some of the veiws on the mountain (on good days especially) are quite spectacular. There is a variety of terrain and they have also modified one ski run into a wider path so that it qualifies for super-G; new this year. The lines don't get too long and I think they worked out all the bugs on the new high speed quad since last season so it looks very promising for the future of Mission Ridge. They have a great pro shop, a lodge that accomodates everyone, child care, lessons, and a mini-lodge on the middle of the hill. I believe it has some of the best snow in the state. many places to stay and dine and shop locally as well.
